Calling for water, a litany

A video storytelling on rain making rituals

As part of the project ‘Finding innovative solutions for water scarcity in Southern Europe’ we created a series of podcasts on water scarcity, and also present myths connected to water in order to learn from traditional ways of communal water management, and provide inspiration for the future.

Additionally, we have produced a video “Litany, Calling for Water”. During prolonged dry seasons the Greek Orthodox church organised rain making rituals, attended by the local community, walking around the fields in a ceremonial procession in order to bring about the much needed rain.
