In the Pollen Watch project we completed the first measurement day.
We invited volunteers to carry low-cost pollen sensors during their commutes – by bike, on foot, or by bus- to help us answer a question that affects all of us: How does the way you commute shape your personal exposure to pollen?
This is the first citizen science project of its kind at PSI, bringing non-experts and scientists together to do research side by side.
The goal goes beyond data collection. We want to open a dialogue about pollen and climate change, and explore what that means for people in their everyday lives.
Activities in the pipeline include: Free Citizen Science Workshop · Playful Climate Change Discussion · Dandelion Honey Production Course · Natural Art Exhibition Visit · Guided Excursion of High Altitude Research Station.
