In Pollen Watch we explore pollen and climate change from different perspectives!
In a series of events we aim to open a dialogue on these topics and the power of citizen science to tackle current and future issues.
It’s blooming outside! Join us in the yellow fields of dandelions, to collect them and produce a deliciously sweet dandelion honey.
You don’t need to be a bee to produce honey. In this workshop curated by Lydia Matthews, we will collect dandelions, learn to understand what kind of work they do as plants, and use them as ingredients to collectively make a batch of dandelion honey that you can bring home.
The workshop is in collaboration with bioco Baden and will take place on their farm.

Registration is open to anyone and free, but priority will be given to people participating in more than one event and in the measurements of the Pollen Watch project. An overview of all events can be found on our project website.
About Lydia Matthews
Lydia Matthews is a writer, curator, educator, and cultural activist based between Athens and Brooklyn. Her work brings together art, craft, design, and everyday life, often in collaboration with local communities around the world.
Matthews is Professor Emerita at Parsons School of Design and previously taught at California College of the Arts, where she helped shape innovative programs focused on socially engaged art and critical thinking.
Over the years, she has worked on projects across the U.S., Europe, and Central Asia, creating exhibitions, workshops, and public art initiatives that connect people, places, and ideas. Whether collaborating with artists, artisans, or students, her approach is hands-on, curious, and deeply rooted in dialogue.
Her practice is all about exploring how creative work can spark conversations, build relationships, and open up new ways of thinking and collaborating together.
About Biocò
At biocò, it’s not just the harvest that’s shared—it’s also the responsibility and the joy of growing food together. As a community-supported agriculture initiative in the Baden region, producers and members work hand in hand, shaping the farming process and experiencing how a tiny seed becomes fresh, organic vegetables.
Since 2014, biocò has been cultivating the Geisshof in Gebenstorf following biodynamic principles, producing high-quality Demeter-certified vegetables. Each week, a diverse selection of seasonal produce is grown, cared for, and harvested collectively, and then picked up at local distribution points in Baden, Brugg, and Gebenstorf.
Everyone contributes in their own way—whether in the fields, with logistics, or through organizing. More than just a vegetable cooperative, biocò is a community of people who grow and enjoy food together, with a shared goal: making fresh, seasonal produce accessible in a fair and sustainable way.
