As part of the international Walking Arts Conference/Encounters event that takes place every two years in the Prespa lake region of northern Greece, Lydia Matthews (artist/curator), Evgenia Tsianou (science communicator), Julian Hoffman (natural history writer) & Nikos Giannakis (biologist/environmental activist) prompted walking workshop (“walkshop”) participants to decipher the landscape defined by where water meets the land, and to creatively improvise on their discoveries of the local ecosystems by close observations of more-than-human species.
